The Purple Fig a blogazine FOR women BY women so if you are not a trained literary goddess, that’s okay, we want to hear from you anyway. We want all ages because the journey has many different stages. Raw, relatable stories that cover everything from looking for love to staying in love; from partying to parenting; from personal creativity to professional success. The journey of a woman is not an uncomplicated one. We want pieces full of honesty, humility and humour. If one can admit something that is difficult to say, another will feel inspired to do the same.
They stories should illustrate the lessons learned along the way. The whole “Look at me juggling my job, my husband, my kids and I look good too!” blabber is NOT what we’re looking for.
The idea of The Purple Fig is to create a community for women to share stories and relate without the filters of ego and self-consciousness. By doing this together, we can produce a more authentic portrayal of the journey of a woman. So, if you think you can give us an honest, well-written piece, we want to hear your idea.
